Hunters also call wild boars "wild boars". Male wild boars are called boars, female wild boars are called sows, and the young (which are piglets in domestic pigs) are called piglets. Our domestic pigs are descended from wild boars. They like to live in small, sociable groups, which in wild boars are called "packs".
The wild boar is 120-160 cm long. Its shoulder height is 80-95 cm. It weighs 70-200 kg. The wild boar has a thick, bristly, black-brown coat. Its head is somewhat triangular with a strong snout. Hunters call the snout a burrow because the pig uses it to break up the ground, i.e. to dig up the surface of the ground to look for food.Specifications:
