Phacochoerus africanus

Description

The warthog looks a little like our wild boar. However, it has a very large head. The most striking feature is the curved lower canine teeth, which are 35 to 60 centimeters long and are called tusks. There are also three pairs of large warts, up to 15 centimeters long, which are located on the head between the eyes and the snout. They give the warthog its name.
