Item Description
The therapy skeleton has a movable spine and joint ligaments.
The model has the following features:
- Natural cast of a human skeleton
- Representation of all anatomical details, fissures, foramina and processes
- Three-part disassemblable skull
- Removable arms and legs
- Sliding joints in shoulder, hip and ankle
- Leg disassemblable at the knee
- Foot removable
- Movable shoulder blades
- 5-star safety roller stand
- Joint ligaments of knee, hip, elbow and shoulder on one side of the body
- Fully movable spine with flexible intervertebral discs and emerging spinal nerves
Size with stand: 176 cm, Size without stand: approx. 165 cm
Weight: 9.5 kg
All Erler-Zimmer skeletons are casts of natural skeletons of the highest quality and detail. The models made of durable plastic show all anatomical details, structures, fissures, foramina and processes. All bones are individually manufactured and carefully assembled. Hands and feet are flexibly mounted on wire. Arms, legs and the skull can be easily removed and partially disassembled. The 5-star roller stand always gives the model a secure footing and allows easy transport from room to room.
JOINT LIGAMENTS
Flexible joint ligaments at the knee, hip, elbow and shoulder allow the demonstration of movements and the explanation of their function. The most important ligaments are shown in each case.
IDEALIZED SKULL
The three-part skull has been digitized and adjusted to exactly match standard anatomy. The size corresponds to the average European size, all important structures, fissures, foramina and processes are present. The skull can be disassembled into the skull base, mandible and skullcap. The skullcap is aligned with metal pins on the skull base and held by magnets. Unlike almost all competitor skulls, this technology prevents pins from breaking off and eliminates any gap between the skullcap and skull base. There are no annoying locking hooks that can bend or break.
FULLY MOVABLE SPINE
To meet the increasing demands of therapy training, the EZ therapy skeletons offer a fully movable spine. Mounted on a very robust and at the same time maximally flexible metal spiral hose, this spine can be easily moved into any position. In addition to normal postures, malpositions or incorrect postures can also be demonstrated very impressively. Thanks to the special flexible intervertebral discs, the spine can not only be bent but also rotated. The intervertebral discs behave like natural intervertebral discs when the spine is bent, meaning they can be compressed or stretched. This allows the spine to be bent anatomically correctly without a gap forming between the intervertebral disc and the vertebral body. The spinal cord and the emerging spinal nerves are also shown.
SLIDING JOINTS
Shoulder and hip are mounted without disturbing metal parts and offer the possibility to demonstrate not only rotational movements but also sliding movements in the joint. The joint surfaces glide directly on each other, making it possible for the first time to demonstrate all gliding and traction possibilities according to manual principles and biomechanics.
MOVABLE SHOULDER BLADES
The shoulder blades are mounted in such a way that they can move with arm movements. This allows the natural movement sequence to be shown.
FLEXIBLE ANKLE JOINT
The upper ankle joint is mounted with rubber and allows every movement. The foot can be easily removed, for example, to take it to a course.
