Size with stand: 176 cm, size without stand: approx. 165 cm
Weight: 9.5 kg
All Erler-Zimmer skeletons are casts of natural skeletons of the highest quality and detail. The models made of durable plastic show all anatomical details, structures, fissures, foramina, and processes. All bones are individually crafted and carefully assembled. Hands and feet are flexibly mounted on wire. Arms, legs, and the skull can be easily removed and partly disassembled. The 5-caster stand always gives the model a secure footing and allows easy transport from room to room.
FULLY MOVABLE SPINE
To meet the growing demands of therapy training, the EZ therapy skeletons offer a fully movable spine. Mounted on a very robust and yet maximally flexible metal spiral hose, this spine can be easily brought into any position. In addition to normal postures, misalignments or poor postures can also be demonstrated very impressively. Thanks to the special flexible intervertebral discs, the spine can not only be bent but also twisted. The intervertebral discs behave like natural intervertebral discs when the spine is bent, i.e., they can be compressed or stretched. This allows the spine to be bent anatomically correctly without a gap forming between the intervertebral disc and the vertebral body. The spinal cord and the emerging spinal nerves are also depicted.
MUSCLE MARKING
Ideal for physiotherapy students! On the right side, muscle origins (red) and insertions (blue) are marked. This marking was developed in collaboration with lecturers at a physiotherapy school and is specifically geared towards the requirements of physiotherapy. The instructions are didactically structured according to the typical sequence for physiotherapists and also refer to relevant literature.
IDEALIZED SKULL
The three-part skull was digitized and adjusted to precisely match standard anatomy. The size corresponds to the European average size, all important structures, fissures, foramina, and processes are present. The skull can be disassembled into the skull base, mandible, and skullcap. The skullcap is aligned with the skull base using metal pins and is held by magnets. Unlike almost all competitor skulls, this technology prevents pins from breaking off and eliminates gaps between the skullcap and skull base. There are no annoying locking hooks that can bend or break.
GLIDING JOINTS
Shoulder and hip are mounted without disturbing metal parts and offer the possibility to demonstrate not only rotational movements but also gliding movements in the joint. The joint surfaces glide directly on each other, making it possible for the first time to demonstrate all gliding and traction possibilities according to manual principles and biomechanics.
MOVABLE SHOULDER BLADES
The shoulder blades are mounted in such a way that they can move with arm movements. This allows the natural movement sequence to be shown.
FLEXIBLE ANKLE JOINT
The upper ankle joint is mounted with rubber and allows every movement. The foot can be easily removed, for example, to take it to a course.
