Item Description
This therapy skeleton with a fully movable spine is ideal for anyone who not only wants to learn anatomy, but also, as a therapist, wants to understand or convey the connections between movements, postures, and misalignments.
The model has the following features:
- Natural cast of a human skeleton
- Representation of all anatomical details, fissures, foramina, and processes
- Three-part skull that can be disassembled
- Removable arms and legs
- Gliding joints in shoulder, hip, and ankle
- Leg disassemblable at the knee
- Foot removable
- Movable shoulder blades
- 5-star safety roller stand
- Fully movable spine with flexible intervertebral discs and emerging spinal nerves
Size with stand: 176 cm, size without stand: approx. 165 cm
Weight: 9.5 kg
All Erler-Zimmer skeletons are casts of natural skeletons of the highest quality and detail. The models, made of durable plastic, show all anatomical details, structures, fissures, foramina, and processes. All bones are individually made and carefully assembled. Hands and feet are flexibly mounted on wire. Arms, legs, and the skull can be easily removed and partly disassembled. The 5-star roller stand always gives the model a secure footing and allows easy transport from room to room.
FULLY MOVABLE SPINE
To meet the increasing demands of training in therapy, the EZ therapy skeletons offer a fully movable spine. Mounted on a very robust yet maximally flexible metal spiral tube, this spine can be easily moved into any position. In addition to normal postures, misalignments and incorrect postures can also be demonstrated very impressively. Thanks to the special flexible intervertebral discs, the spine can not only be bent but also rotated within itself. The intervertebral discs behave like natural intervertebral discs when the spine is bent, meaning they can be compressed or stretched. This allows the spine to be bent anatomically correctly without a gap forming between the intervertebral disc and the vertebral body. The spinal cord and the emerging spinal nerves are also shown.
IDEALIZED SKULL
The three-part skull was digitized and adapted to correspond exactly to standard anatomy. The size corresponds to the European average size; all important structures, fissures, foramina, and processes are present. The skull can be disassembled into the skull base, mandible, and skullcap. The skullcap is aligned with the skull base using metal pins and is held by magnets. Unlike almost all competitor skulls, this technology prevents pins from breaking off and a gap from forming between the skullcap and the skull base. There are no annoying locking hooks that can bend or break.
GLIDING JOINTS
The shoulder and hip are mounted without interfering metal parts and offer the possibility to demonstrate not only rotational movements but also gliding movements in the joint. The joint surfaces slide directly on each other, making it possible for the first time to demonstrate all gliding and traction possibilities according to manual principles and biomechanics.
MOVABLE SHOULDER BLADES
The shoulder blades are mounted in such a way that they can move with arm movements. This allows the natural movement sequence to be shown.
FLEXIBLE ANKLE JOINT
The upper ankle joint is mounted with rubber and allows every movement. The foot can be easily removed, for example, to take it to a course.
