NATURAL MOBILITY OF THE JOINTS
Unlike skeletons with metal hinges, Oscar can move his joints freely. The joint surfaces slide over each other and are not unnaturally far apart, as is often the case with other models. This means that not only rotational movements can be represented, but also all sliding movements in the joint. The quick-release fastener means that the connections can be removed and reassembled in a flash. Removing extremities is therefore child's play.
IDEALIZED SKULL
The three-part skull was digitized and adjusted so that it corresponds exactly to the standard anatomy. The size corresponds to the European average size, all important structures, fissures, foramina and processes are present. The skull can be disassembled into skull base, lower jaw and skull roof. The skull roof is aligned with the skull base using metal pins and is held in place by magnets. Unlike with almost all competitor skulls, this technology means that no pin can break off and no gap is created between the skull roof and skull base. There are no annoying locking hooks that can bend or break.
The spine of the skeleton shows the spinal nerves, the vertebral artery and a dorsolateral disc herniation.
