Description

This skull is a perfect example of a juvenile. With the exception of the wisdom teeth, all permanent teeth have erupted, and there are no milk teeth left. X-ray examination of the original skull showed that the root tips of the incisors, canines and molars are about half to two-thirds closed, corresponding to an age of 13.5 to 14 years. The crowns of the three wisdom teeth are in an early stage of calcification, and the X-ray examination shows no root formation. The early stage of crown formation of the wisdom teeth is usually completed by 13 years of age.
