Description

The impala or tail-heeled antelope describes a species of antelope within the Aepycerotinae, which is native to the African continent.
The distribution area of ​​these even-toed ungulates extends across large parts of East Africa as far as South Africa. In addition to Kenya, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia, the impala can also be found in Tanzania and Mozambique. There it lives in small herds and inhabits dry savannahs as well as bush and floodplain forests, always in the immediate vicinity of large water sources.
