There are always shed rods that are attached to a wooden skull to be hung on the wall. It can also happen that the original skull of an animal is no longer available (e.g. due to an accident or a fallen animal). In such cases, artificial skulls are ideal to still achieve an attractive presentation. We now offer these wooden skulls instead of aluminum skulls. One advantage of the wood is that the diameter can easily be adjusted using a carving knife, file or sandpaper. After adjustment, the skull can be painted or sprayed with white paint. Make sure that the paint is matte, not glossy.
The back of the deer skulls already has pre-drilled holes for mounting on the antler shield. These skulls are also well suited for outdoor mounting. The mounting screws are not included with the skull; it is up to the customer which wood screws or other screws to use. We are sure that you have made the right choice with this skull.
