Real deer lower jaw
Description
Rothisch mandible for study purposes and illustrative material:
We offer a set of deer jaws of various ages. The approximate age of the animals can be determined by examining the wear on their teeth. In young animals, the milk teeth or the transition to permanent teeth are often still visible. As they get older, the teeth gradually wear down until they eventually fall out. In the wild, a deer reaches an average age of around 18 years.
