Real chamois mandible
Description
Chamois mandible for study purposes and illustrative material:
We offer a set of chamois lower jaws at different ages. The approximate age of the animals can be determined by examining the wear on their teeth. In young animals, milk teeth or the transition to permanent teeth are often still visible. As they get older, their teeth gradually wear down until they eventually fall out. In the wild, a chamois reaches an average age of around 18 years.
