Description
The Canadian beaver (Castor canadensis) is the largest rodent in North America and a close relative of the European beaver. It reaches a head-body length of 90 to 120 cm and a tail length of up to 40 cm. Adults typically weigh between 16 and 32 kg, and in rare cases, up to 40 kg.
Its fur is exceptionally soft and dense, ranging in color from dark brown to light brown and possessing a subtle, natural sheen. High-quality tanned, it is ideally suited for further processing into clothing, accessories, or decorative objects.
