Real Capercaillie Skeleton
Item Description
The Western Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) is the largest member of the grouse family and one of Europe's most impressive forest birds. Its distribution area extends across the boreal and montane coniferous forests of Eurasia. The males are particularly known for their spectacular courtship rituals, during which they fan out their tail feathers and produce characteristic courtship calls. The capercaillie feeds predominantly on needles, buds, berries, and other plant components and is considered an important indicator species for near-natural forest ecosystems.
