Real Zebra Skull
Item Description
The plains zebra is the most widespread zebra species in Africa and is known for its distinctive black and white stripes, which vary considerably depending on the subspecies and individual. These stripes serve not only as camouflage in the shimmering savanna light but also for social recognition within the herd. Plains zebras inhabit the open grasslands of East and Southern Africa, where they undertake long migrations in search of fresh grazing.
They are highly social animals and live in stable family groups consisting of a stallion, several mares, and their foals. The plains zebra is robust, hardy, and perfectly adapted to life in dry savannas. As strict herbivores, they feed primarily on grasses. Despite their wide distribution, some subspecies are threatened by habitat loss and hunting pressure.
