The Racka sheep originates from Hungary and is now a rare and protected domestic animal breed. It is one of the oldest sheep breeds in Europe.

Its most striking feature is its spirally upright horns, which occur in both sexes. These can reach impressive lengths and give the animal a wild, almost primeval appearance. The coat is usually white or black, long and shaggy. The Racka sheep is robust, undemanding, and perfectly adapted to barren landscapes, a true cultural heritage of Hungarian pastoral culture.
