The Racka sheep originally comes from Hungary and is now a rare and protected domestic animal breed. It is one of the oldest sheep breeds in Europe.

Its most striking feature is the spirally upright horns, which occur in both sexes. These can reach impressive lengths and give the animal a wild, almost primeval appearance. The fleece is usually white or black, long, and shaggy. The Racka sheep is robust, undemanding, and perfectly adapted to barren landscapes, a true cultural asset of Hungarian shepherd culture.
