Real Ibex Skull Abnormal
Description
The Alpine ibex is probably the most well-known wild animal in the Swiss Alps. It lives in rocky, steep mountain regions above the tree line and is perfectly adapted to the rugged alpine terrain. Its distinctive features are its powerful, curved horns, which can reach up to one meter in length in males. Females (does) have significantly smaller, thinner horns. This tough animal moves with astonishing ease up almost vertical rock faces, a true climbing prodigy. The Alpine ibex was extinct in Switzerland as recently as the 19th century, but has been successfully reintroduced – including in the Graubünden National Park. Today, it stands as a symbol of wildlife conservation and alpine freedom.
A unique ibex skull with an abnormally stubby horn. This rare ibex skull features an abnormally shaped stubby horn, a truly unique specimen and particularly interesting for educational or demonstration purposes. Such stubby horns usually result from an accident or horn fracture at a young age, in which the horn was damaged and subsequently continued to grow atypically. The horns are removable and are delivered loose. This is the original skull of an Alpine ibex, professionally prepared.
