Real Merino ram skull
Description
Male Merino sheep, called rams, are clearly distinguished from females or ewes by their massive horns. Horn size alone is a direct indicator of the ram's hierarchy within his herd. In establishing territory and hierarchy, dominant rams compete with each other with a series of stray head-butts.
