Item Description
The red deer, colloquially known as red deer and less commonly referred to as noble deer, is a species of true deer. Among the various deer species, the red deer is characterized by a particularly large and widely branched antler rack. This rack, considered a coveted hunting trophy, is only developed by male animals.
Young male deer whose antlers do not yet show branching are called "spikers". A deer with three points per beam is called a "six-pointer", with four points an "eight-pointer", and so on. A deer with at least three points on each beam has a crown and is therefore called a "royal stag".
Specifications of the offered stag:
Stag from the Canton of Appenzell
Original photo of the stag
Without upper and lower jaw (long nose)
9-pointer
