Description
Horses have been faithful companions to humans for thousands of years and were originally used as transport and pack animals. Their diet consists mainly of grass and other plant matter, which makes their teeth perfectly adapted to grinding plant material. It is believed that the domestication of horses began in Asia around 4,000 to 6,000 years ago when humans tamed wild horses.
