Description
Fully restored, real human skull of a (young female) in good condition, but only 3 parts and 3 teeth missing.
The human skull (cranium) consists of about 22 to 30 individual bones, most of which are held together by ossified seams, so-called sutures. The skull is divided into two main areas: the braincase (neurocranium) and the facial skull (viscerocranium). Its most important function is to protect what is probably the most important organ in the human body - the brain.
Human skulls and bones are provided to us by retired doctors, medical researchers, dentists and former university physicians.
