Item Description

The Vervet Monkey lives in savannas, open woodlands, and bushlands south of the Sahara. Its grey-green fur, dark face with a white fringe of hair, and long tail make it easily recognizable. It is extremely adaptable and can be found in both wilderness areas and near human settlements.

Cercopithecus pygerythrus lives in social groups with complex hierarchies and distinct communication. Their diet consists of fruits, leaves, seeds, flowers, and insects. Particularly noteworthy is their high learning ability and flexible behavior, which makes them one of Africa's best-known monkey species.
