Item Description

The leopard is one of the most adaptable big cats in the world. It lives in Africa as well as parts of Asia, from savannas to dense rainforests. Typical for the leopard is its golden-yellow fur with dark rosettes, perfect for camouflage in the undergrowth. Leopards are solitary, nocturnal and extremely skilled climbers. They often drag their prey up trees to protect it from scavengers. Their prey spectrum is broad, ranging from small rodents to antelopes. Thanks to their intelligence, strength and adaptability, leopards are among the most successful predators, yet in many places they are threatened by habitat loss and poaching.
