Real rock hyrax skull
Item Description
The rock hyrax is a small, rabbit-like mammal that lives in rocky regions of South Africa. Despite its appearance, it is closely related to elephants and manatees – one of its most remarkable biological features. Rock hyraxes have rubbery soles with sweat glands that act like suction cups, giving them perfect grip on steep rocks. They live in social groups and often bask together in the sun. Their diet consists mainly of grasses, leaves, and bark.
