Real Ring-tailed Lemur Skull
Description
The ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) is a species of primate found exclusively on Madagascar and some neighboring islands. It belongs to the lemur family (Lemuridae) and is easily recognized by its long, black and white striped tail, which is longer than its body. Ring-tailed lemurs live in groups of up to 30 individuals, dominated by females - a rarity in the animal kingdom.
These diurnal animals spend a lot of time both on the ground and in the trees. They feed mainly on fruits, leaves and flowers. A special feature is their "sunbathing": ring-tailed lemurs often sit in the sun with their arms outstretched to warm themselves. Due to habitat loss and hunting, they are considered endangered.
