Item Description

The vervet monkey lives in savannas, open woodlands, and bushlands south of the Sahara. Its grey-green fur, dark face with a white fringe of hair, and long tail make it easily recognizable. It is extremely adaptable and can be found in both wild areas and near human settlements.

Cercopithecus pygerythrus lives in social groups with complex hierarchies and distinct communication. Its diet consists of fruits, leaves, seeds, flowers, and insects. Particularly noteworthy are its high learning ability and flexible behavior, making it one of the most well-known monkey species in Africa.
