Real badger claws
Description
The European badger is a powerfully built mammal from the marten family that is widespread throughout Europe. It is characterized by its black and white facial mask, a stocky body, and powerful forepaws that are perfectly suited for burrowing. Badgers live in complex underground burrows called "badger dens," which can be used for many generations.
As an omnivore, the badger feeds on worms, insects, fruit, roots, and occasionally small vertebrates. It is primarily crepuscular and nocturnal and avoids contact with humans. The badger plays an important role in the ecosystem by digging the soil, thus contributing to its mixing.
Despite its adaptability, the badger is threatened by road traffic and habitat loss.
