Real Muskrat Skull
Description
The muskrat is an aquatic rodent, like its larger relative the beaver. The muskrat is a herbivore and chews on small saplings for food, as well as a variety of other plants. Until now, muskrats were difficult to trap for their fur. The decline in demand has allowed this species to overpopulate many areas. The muskrat is found throughout much of North America, except for the Southwest.
