Real Sika Deer Antlers
Description
The sika deer (Cervus nippon) is a small deer that is often farmed for its tender and tasty meat. It is often found in zoos, such as the Goldau Zoo. Sikas are characterized by their striking reddish fur with many white spots, which is replaced by a denser, dark brown coat in winter.
Since the sika deer is rather small, its antlers are not huge either. Nevertheless, the antlers, i.e. the antlers that are shed annually, are very sought after. These antlers are great for decorative purposes and are often used indoors to create a natural and rustic atmosphere. The unique shape and structure of the antlers makes them a popular element in interior design and handicrafts.
