Item Description
The red deer, colloquially also known as red deer and more rarely as noble deer, is a species of true deer. Among the various deer species, the red deer is characterized by a particularly large and widely branched antler. This antler, which is considered a coveted hunting trophy, is only developed by male animals.
Young male deer whose antlers have no branches yet are called "Spießer" (spike deer). A deer with three tines per beam is called a "Sechser" (six-pointer), with four tines an "Achter" (eight-pointer), and so on. A deer with at least three tines on each beam has a "crown" and is therefore called a "Kronenhirsch" (crown deer).
Specifications of the offered deer:
Farmed deer from the Canton of Schwyz
Original picture of the deer
Without lower jaw
16 tines (crown deer)
