Description
With the first days of spring, the common buzzard circles its territory, emitting its familiar meowing calls. The male courts a mate with impressive aerial displays. Crows suspiciously pursue the common buzzard and persistently try to drive it from their territories. In winter, our breeding birds receive an influx of winter visitors from the northeast. During severe winter storms, spectacular migrations toward the southwest often occur.
