Description
The Goliathus orientalis is one of the largest beetles in the world and belongs to the family of scarabaeidae . It is native to the tropical rainforests of Africa and impresses with its enormous size and striking pattern. The males can grow up to 10 cm long and have distinctive horns on their heads, which they use in fights with rivals. This beetle feeds mainly on sweet plant juices and plays an important role in the ecosystem by contributing to the decomposition of organic materials.
