Description
The Goliath beetle is one of the largest beetles in the world and belongs to the family Scarabaeidae . Native to the tropical rainforests of Africa, it impresses with its enormous size and striking pattern. Males can grow up to 10 cm long and have distinctive horns on their heads, which they use in combat with rivals. This beetle feeds primarily on sweet plant sap and plays an important role in the ecosystem by contributing to the decomposition of organic matter.
