Item Description

The Goliath beetle is one of the largest beetles in the world and belongs to the family of scarab beetles (Scarabaeidae). It is native to the tropical rainforests of Africa and impresses with its enormous size and striking markings. Males can grow up to 10 cm long and have distinctive horns on their heads, which they use in fights with rivals. This beetle feeds mainly on sweet plant sap and plays an important role in the ecosystem by contributing to the decomposition of organic materials.
