True Blesbok Skull
Description
The blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi) is an antelope native to South Africa and the smallest member of the hartebeest family. Its shiny, dark red-brown fur forms a striking contrast to the white areas on the belly, face and legs. The S-shaped horns of the males are particularly characteristic and can grow up to 50 cm long, while the horns of the females are somewhat shorter and finer.
