Skull Bleaching
Professionally Bleaching Skulls and Bones
The professional preparation and bleaching of skulls and bones is a crucial step to achieve an aesthetically high-quality and long-lasting result. At SWISSskulls International, we rely on proven bleaching products and processes that ensure gentle yet effective treatment.
After thorough cleaning and maceration, the bones are transferred directly into the bleaching solution. By using high-quality additives, optimal penetration is achieved, reliably removing even deeper-seated fat and impurity residues. This not only leads to uniform lightening but also to sustainable degreasing of the material.
Bleaching is carried out under controlled conditions over a defined period, depending on the condition and discoloration of the respective object. Severely discolored skulls and bones require longer treatment or several bleaching cycles to achieve a uniform result.
Once the desired degree of bleaching is achieved, the bones are carefully rinsed and slowly dried. It should be noted that the material appears optically lighter after drying – a natural effect caused by the altered light refraction.
Our products, such as highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide, offer a reliable and efficient solution for professional users. They are ideal for preparators, collectors, as well as scientific and museum institutions that demand the highest standards of quality and results.
Important Note: Handling bleaching agents requires expertise and adherence to all safety regulations. Certain products are exclusively available to commercial users or institutions.
