Animal carcass donation
Education, research and preparation
At SWISSskulls International, we focus on transparency, responsibility, and scientific value, even when dealing with deceased animals. Through animal carcass donation, pet owners, gamekeepers, veterinarians, and other professionals make a valuable contribution to research, teaching, and taxidermy.
We treat donated or purchased animal carcasses – whether from natural causes, accidents, or euthanasia – with the utmost respect. Through careful work, these are transformed into anatomical specimens that are used as teaching aids in veterinary medicine, zoology, or pathology programs. They help students, veterinarians, and researchers better understand the complex anatomy of wild and domestic animals.
Some of the animal carcasses are scientifically examined in collaboration with pathology students and laboratories before being turned into high-quality display pieces, skeletons, or skull specimens. Unusable remains are professionally cremated and disposed of.
